Sword & Shield is the first set of the new Pokémon TCG Sword & Shield world of the same name! Explore the new Galar region with three new partner Pokémon: Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble and meet the Legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta.
The Pokémon Sword & Shield expansion will be released on February 7, 2020 and introduces the Galar Pokémon and the new Pokémon V. These Pokémon V have a lot of HP and strong attacks. Some of these can transform into a Pokémon VMAX. Although these VMAX Pokémon are very powerful, you must be careful not to defeat them. When defeated, your opponent may take three cards as a prize.
The new Pokémon V cards also include the legendary Zavian V and Zamazenta V. Zacian V's powers attract metal from your deck and his powerful sword uses Energy to deal 230 damage to your opponent. Zamazenta V's shield defends you against the attacks of VMAX Pokémon. In addition, his Assault Tackle can deal 130 damage and destroy a Special Energy from his target.
Zacian V and Zamazenta V aren't the only new Pokémon in the Sword & Shield set. You will also encounter the transformed Pokémon from the Pokémon Sword & Shield game. The adorable Galarian Ponyta is also ready to battle for you - and you can be sure that the other Pokémon of the Galar region are ready too.
The first Pokémon VMAX have also been announced! They are two Pokémon known from the Kanto region. Lapras VMX has infinite power with its G-Max pump attack by dealing 30 extra damage per Water Energy. And with 340 HP, VMX Snorlax is the Pokémon with the highest HP allowed in Pokémon tournaments. In addition to the powers of these Pokémon, they also have beautiful artwork that should not be missing in your collection.
