It's been 1 month since the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet game was released for the Nintendo Switch. In this game you will be introduced to a new generation of Pokémon. The latest Scarlet & Violet series will be released on March 31, 2023 and brings with it a number of changes. Are you curious about these changes? Then read on!
As you can see in the product images above, the traditional yellow edge will disappear and make way for a silver-colored edge. This will give the English set the same border as the Japanese set.
In addition, The Pokémon Company has also made an adjustment to Trainer cards. The Trainer card subcategory was first listed at the top right. This has now been moved to the left side.
The Energy card will also receive a number of adjustments. The name of the Energy card will from now on be mentioned at the top. You will also find the corresponding symbol at the bottom right and left. This makes it easier to recognize the Energy card during the card game.
The Scarlet & Violet set will reintroduce the Pokémon ex which was previously used between 2003 and 2007. A Pokémon ex can evolve from its normal pre-evolution. The new mechanic "Tera-Pokémon" will also be added. As you can see with the Arcanine card above, it has a crystal theme. Terastal Pokémon cannot receive damage while on the Bench.
In the images above you will find the artwork that Pokémon will use for the booster packs. Here you see a Terastal Gyarados at the top right.
Finally, Pokémon has announced that the price of Pokémon products will increase due to rising costs. To compensate for this you will find no less than 3 holo cards in each Booster Pack and they have added an extra Booster Pack to an Elite Trainer Box.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will be available from March 31, 2023. The set contains no less than 198 cards excluding Secret Rares. Scarlet & Violet will soon be available for pre-order in our webshop.
